We are delighted to inform the public that our Program Lead Canwat Willy through the Huracan FC Sky Club Uganda football program for both girls and boys in our schools have been awarded a $2,000 grant from the The Huracan Foundation | Football for Development to support football project in the schools in 2024.
Through the Huracan FC Sky Club Uganda, we shall directly involve 50 girls and boys in this football club, training and child talent development as one way of keeping them safe and happy in the two neighboring schools (Nabuganyi C/U and Nabuganyi R/C Primary schools). We shall also be able to engage at least 600 members of our Club in the different schools in asupportive training and coordinated football programs.
This program is envisioned to reduce school absenteeism and dropout, allow girls and boys co exist in a fun, loving and healthy school environment, give us great space for conducting trainings & sensitization on menstrual hygiene, mentorship as well as promote and support talent of children for future development.
We are so appreciative to The Huracan Foundation | Football for Development for offering us such a great support that will see our children in schools happy and excelling in academics.
